This Privacy Policy explains how Chudong ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our website and AI live-streaming assistant software (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information — such as your name, email address, and password.
• Billing information — your plan and billing contact. Card payments are handled by Stripe (see below).
• Communications — messages you send to our support team.

Stream & content data

To provide features like captions, translation, and clips, the Service processes audio, video, and chat from your streams. This processing happens to deliver the feature you requested; we do not sell this content and do not use it to identify your viewers.

Payment information

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details directly. We do not receive or store your full card number — only limited transaction data such as amount, date, last four digits, and status.

Information collected automatically

• Usage & device data — IP address, device and browser type, feature usage, and diagnostics.
• Cookies — used to keep you signed in, remember preferences (including your language choice), secure the Service, and understand usage. You can control cookies in your browser.

2. How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service and its AI features;
• To process subscriptions and send receipts;
• To provide customer support;
• To ensure security and prevent fraud and abuse;
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers — such as Stripe (payments), cloud hosting, and AI processing vendors, under confidentiality obligations and only to provide the Service;
• Legal & safety — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security;
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger or acquisition, subject to this Policy.

4. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Stream content processed for transient features (e.g., live captions) is not retained longer than necessary to deliver the feature, unless you save it (e.g., a highlight clip).

5. Your rights

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), to protect your information. No method is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.

The Service is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.

8. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to protect it in line with this Policy and applicable law.

We may update this Policy from time to time, posting the new version with an updated date and, where appropriate, additional notice.
